Privacy Policy
BCComms is an intercom app for live production teams. It connects to a BCComms server run by the organisation that invited you. This policy explains what the app does with information and who holds it.
Who holds your data
Your audio, text messages, username and display name travel only between your device and your organisation's BCComms server. That server is operated by your organisation, not by the app's publisher. The publisher receives none of this data, and has no access to it. Questions about how a particular server stores or retains data go to that organisation's administrator.
What the app uses on your device
- Microphone. Audio is captured and sent to your organisation's server only while you hold or latch a talk key, or while you have turned on voice-activated talk (VOX). Nothing is recorded on the device.
- Local network. Used to reach a server on your venue or studio network.
- On-device settings. The server address, your sign-in session, and preferences such as volumes and layout are stored on the device so the app can reconnect. Signing out removes the session.
Recordings
An administrator of your organisation's server can record intercom channels. Recordings are stored on that server and are governed by that organisation's own policies.
Tracking, analytics and advertising
The app contains no analytics, advertising or tracking SDKs, and does not share data with third parties.
Children
BCComms is a professional tool for production crews and is not directed at children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new effective date.
